We invite you to celebrate with us at 1pm on Saturday 8 July the 10th anniversary of saving Lewisham Hospital and the 75th birthday of the NHS.
We will celebrate with a joint unveiling of a commemorative bench donated by the Campaign and Lewisham Council in Ladywell Fields at the back of the Hospital, An acer tree with red leaves will be planted nearby during the Autumn when the weather is more suitable.
There will be speeches and music and the NHS will be celebrated with cakes!
You are invited to bring a picnic and catch up with old friends.
We hope to see you there.
The high court victory in July 2013 and all the activities and demonstrations leading up to it inspired and gave confidence to many other campaigns to fight for their hospitals and local NHS services. It was an incredible achievement. The campaign to save the Hospital united the people of Lewisham who gave it tremendous support.
