The outcome of the Labour Party selection for Lewisham Mayor is important to the Save Lewisham Hospital Campaign.
Some members of our campaign are in the Labour Party, many are not. As a community-based campaign, we feel that would be wrong to endorse one candidate in the internal Labour Party ballot to choose the mayoral candidate.
However we are very interested in the views of the 5 Labour Party candidates because one of these candidates will almost certainly become Lewisham’s next Mayor.
There is increasingly close interdependency between the NHS and the local authority, and the health and social care services which the local population depend on.
We therefore asked each of the Labour Party candidates some key questions.
We publish their answers below to help you know what each candidate stands for.
