AGM 2016
The AGM took place on Thursday 30 July at the Waldron Health Centre.
We heard a review of the campaign’s activities over the year from our Chair Dr Louise Irvine, which included
- our monitoring and responses to Our Healthier Plan for South East London (OHSEL)
- sharing our work with other campaigns throughout the country
- the major focus of our support for the Junior Doctors industrial action
- our support for the nurses bursary fight and GMB cleaners
Dr Shruti Patel, one of the lead junior doctors from Lewisham Hospital and member of the Junior Doctors’ Council, who has joined our Steering Committee, gave a brief overview of the current issues (this was prior to the announcement of the junior doctors’ vote) and thanked the campaign for their support – how they had benefited from our campaigning experience, and that we had raised morale when they had felt low.
We discussed our Strategy for 2016, made small amendments to our Standing Orders, and electing our Steering Committee and Campaign officers – chair, secretary and treasurer – for the next year.
The Chair of our campaign is Dr Louise Irvine.
The Secretary is Olivia O’Sullivan.
The Treasurer is Rosie Fookes
